Topic: Today our topic is Resistance Training We are starting a 4 part series on the 4 pillars of health and fitness; Food Prep, Sleep Hygiene, Resistance Training, NEAT.

Today we will be focused on Resistance Training -
Problem: Resistance Training can get associated with Body Building (BB), and while BB is a form of Resistance Training its much more general in principle.

RT is any exercise that causes the muscles to contract against an external resistance with the expectation of increases in strength, power, hypertrophy, and/or endurance.

In other words resistance training can be used in many different ways depending on the clients goals and needs. So what’s the problem?

The problem I see most often is that people who start resistance training have the wrong ideas about it and ask the wrong questions.
